This is the e-shop for London-based Graphic Designer and illustrator Greg Bunbury, and Bunbury Creative Ltd. Selling limited edition prints, posters and more.
Greg is a Senior Graphic Designer, offering professional creative services and graphic art primarily for the entertainment industry.
Alongside his commercial design work, Greg is an illustrator and graphic artist, creating prints and poster art through a mix of commissioned and self-initiated projects.
Born in the late 70s, much of his formative years were spent gazing at Marvel comics, "2000 AD", 80s Science Fiction cartoons, movie posters and record sleeves. There was a fixation on American pop culture, typified by the rise of what is now described as 'MTV' culture. The purchase of a VHS video in the house (an upgrade from the standard Betamax), and the 'pirate' video store at the end of the street provided his biggest inspiration in the form of genre, film posters and the iconography of video, while his illustrative work had begun by imitating comic artist heroes John Romita, Walt Simonson, Marc Silvestri, Frank Miller and Todd McFarlane.
There was also a great love of music across many genres, which lead to a number of years study and a short-lived tenure as a songwriter for a local group. He designed the band's logo and the sleeve for the demo tape. Where he was originally headed for a career in comic-book art, the world of graphics beckoned after he discovered this aptitude for logo design, inspired by heroes of the form such as Milton Glaser, and then later pop-art graphics via design legend Neville Brody, and the work of designer Ben Drury for seminal label Mo Wax.
After studying graphics at higher education he became heavily influenced by John Berger's "Ways Of Seeing", which began to inform his design and advertising work.
His work is now split between commercial design and advertising projects for clients within the music industry, and his own personal forays into illustration & graphic art, which draw heavily on his influences, passions and philosophies.
He has had work exhibited at The Bottle Neck Gallery in New York, the Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco, and the London Design Festival via the African and African-Caribbean Design Diaspora exhibition "Untold Gold" in 2012, with many more commissions to follow in 2013.
